Abune Yoseph, Zigite and Abuhay gariya Community Conservation Area:

“The Nature – Culture - Historic and Technology destination”  

The Abune Yosph Massif is one of the country’s Most Important Bird Areas. It measures 4284masl the country’s third highest point, Abune yoseph, Zigit and Abohoy massifs are endowed with afro alpine floras and fauna. Cordial community; historic rock hewn churches of St. Lalibela; one of country’s satellite technology site a place where you can find all at one.

Why visit this park:  This Park is situated near by the St. Lalibela Rock Hewn Church, and it is one of the countries satellite technology project area which will be technological and natural tourist destination area at the same time in near future.

Eco-tourism loge in the conservation area and Camping sites are available in and around. Also there are tourist standard hotels in Lalibela Town.
